SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE
"It isn't every musical that gets stopped by three prolonged ovations midway through the first act." - Robert Hurwitt
OAKLAND TRIBUNE
"The musical "Jersey Boys," which opened its national tour Sunday at San Francisco's Curran Theatre, is every bit as good as you've heard it is." - Chad Jones
CONTRA COSTA TIMES
"The story is as complex as it is engaging, sometimes with several versions of the same incident told by different members of the group. But the piece is always entertaining and energetic, with director Des McAnuff giving the show a screaming pace that slows only to let the audience marvel at how spectacularly well the actors playing the Seasons capture the authentic Seasonal sound." - Pat Craig
SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER
"From start to finish, “Jersey Boys” flows with fun, drama and pop sensibilities." - Leslie Katz
THEATERMANIA.COM
"So much of Jersey Boys hits the heart and the soul that this tour is destined to dazzle audiences wherever it goes." - Tiffany Maleshefski
"One of the main strengths of Jersey Boys is the basic obscurity of the stories and lives behind the music, providing librettists Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice with the dramatic opportunity of revelation." - Richard Dodds
"Night after night, the audience in San Francisco's Curran Theatre doesn't even ask permission to applaud…they just do! In the middle of songs no less, they're on their feet, swimming in the ubiquitous sound of The Four Seasons during the first tour engagement of the Tony Award-winning musical, Jersey Boys. This act hits all the right notes!" - Eugene Lovendusky
"It's easy to see why "Jersey Boys" gathered so many awards and continues to enjoy strong box office in New York - a performance I predict will continue on the road. (The local run has already been extended six weeks.) The story line is gripping, the Bob Gaudio score includes all or parts of 33 songs, and the production has that unmistakable New York energy and panache." - Charles Brousse
"This brilliantly crafted drama will make you cry, laugh and tap your feet. It’s unexpectedly moving and an absolute delight with a captivating cast." - Lee Hartgrave
